Principle of water-based paint defoamers:
1. Reduce the surface tension of foam. After the addition of defoamer, the defoamer can quickly disperse into the original solution, reduce the surface tension of foam, make the force on the surface of foam uneven, and achieve the effect of rapid foam breaking under the effect of pulling.
2. Inhibiting the surface activity of foaming substances. After adding defoamer, the defoamer can rapidly penetrate into the original solution, reducing the surface activity of the active agent, thus inhibiting the secondary generation of foam.
3. The elasticity of the membrane is destroyed, resulting in the bubble breaking. After adding the defoamer, the defoamer will penetrate into the surfactant, destroying the foam stability of the surfactant, thus eliminating foam and inhibiting the production of foam.
4. Promote liquid discharge of liquid film. The liquid discharge rate of liquid film can reflect the stability of foam. With the addition of defoamer, the liquid discharge rate of liquid film will become faster, and the stability of foam will become weaker, so as to achieve the effect of eliminating foam.
