Oil-based inks use organic solvents as solvents, and various chemical additives need to be added during the production process, which also causes the oil-based inks to be prone to foam during use, which affects the production process.     Solution

    1. The cause of oily ink blistering

    (1) The bubbles in the ink are mostly caused by improper blending in the ink. When we add additives or solvents for stirring, a few bubbles will be mixed in the ink, and the ink with high viscosity cannot be naturally defoamed.

    (2) Poor pre-treatment of the substrate, that is, the substrate has not been cleaned before, so that the surface is rich in dust or oil stains and other stains that cause blisters.

    (3) For some transparent red, transparent blue, and transparent green inks. Because the amount of organic pigments in the microparticles is reduced, the bonding material of this type of ink has the characteristics of easy foaming.

    (4) The printing speed is too fast or uneven, which is also the cause of bubbles.

    2. The hazard of oily ink blistering

    (1) Affect normal operation: cause printing surface defects and production printing is difficult, the foam in the tank overflows and the foam flows into the reel, wets the printing paper, the printing machine cannot work normally, and the ink foaming reduces the production efficiency.

    (2) Affect product quality: the blistering is easy to be uneven, and the ink texture is uniform to ensure the printing quality. Causes printing surface defects, resulting in incomplete printing of patterns on the printing paper.

    3. Recommend oily ink defoamer

    4. Suggestions for the use of oil-based ink defoamers

    (3) Find out the corresponding loss coefficient of the bubbling area, you can know the actual amount per kilogram.
