Principle and analysis of defoaming
1. Reasons for blistering:
In papermaking water treatment, microorganisms including bacteria, fungi, algae and protozoa are used to oxidize and decompose harmful substances in water into harmless substances. These microorganisms can survive in water containing poisons, and use these poisons as nourishment to reproduce, so the poisons are transformed into new substances that are harmless to humans. An important step of biochemical treatment is aeration, that is, through mechanical agitation and air blowing, the sewage is fully contacted with air. In order to maintain sufficient dissolved oxygen in the water, it provides suitable conditions for the activities of microorganisms. However, foam will be generated during aeration, and the thick foam layer will close the liquid surface and affect the dissolved oxygen, reduce the efficiency of the aeration device, and prolong the treatment cycle. It also foams during the movement of sewage containing protein, polysaccharides, and saponins. During operation, a large number of filamentous bacteria and actinomycetes grow in the water body, which is easy to produce a large amount of foam, which is mostly yellow-brown and difficult to handle;
When the production line is washing tanks, it contains more detergents, or when the hydrogen peroxide tank is used, foams will also appear when the waste water contains surfactants;
If the sewage treatment plant carries out nitrification, denitrification will occur in the sedimentation tank or in the place where aeration is insufficient, and bubbles such as nitrogen will be generated to drive part of the sludge to float up and foam.
2. Foaming hazards:
①The impact of foam generation on the normal operation of the sewage treatment system;
②In the initial debugging process, the sludge after inoculation will be taken away by a large amount of foam, which not only increases the debugging time, increases the investment cost, but also increases the difficulty of debugging;
③Because the foam has a certain viscosity, the oxygenation efficiency of the aeration tank is greatly reduced;
④Foam accumulation is one of the important reasons for corruption. At the same time, it is easy to freeze in the cold winter, which affects the normal operation of the system;
⑤The activated sludge system is sealed with pure oxygen, and the entry of a large amount of foam in the oxygen compressor may cause a fire;
3. Recommended for defoaming with defoamer
